Kilan s.r.u. je kolektiv multimediálních autorů vycházejících z prostředí ateliéru Fotografie FUD UJEP. Umělci pracují s fotografií, performance a textem, které spojují do formátu stolního kalendáře – média na pomezí obrazu, publikace a každodenního nástroje. Kalendář tu není „merch“ ani pouhá grafická fikce, ale záchranný bod pro všechny, kteří se cítí být zmateni v současném světě. . V opakování se rodí zvláštní typ reality, v níž se absurdita nechá číst jako zpráva, indicie nebo soukromé orákulum.
Metoda Kilanu si tak pohrává s historickou „továrnou na představy“, zaběhlé vzorce boří, aby dala možnost vzniku vzorcům novým. Absurdita nabývá svého obrazu a krajina Krušnohoří či historické souvislosti a stopy Karla Maye dosahují fantaskní obludnosti. Kilan tak vstupuje do prostoru, kde se realita a fikce tradičně a vytrvale promíchávají: Krajina Sudet v Podkrušnohoří se tu neukazuje jen jako místo, ale jako vyprávění, které se každý rok znovu a jinak převypráví.

Kilan s.r.u. ist ein Kollektiv von Multimedia-Autoren, die aus dem Umfeld des Ateliers Fotografie FUD UJEP hervorgegangen ist. Die Künstler arbeiten mit Fotografie, Performance und Text, die es zu einem Tischkalenderformat verbindet – einem Medium zwischen Bild, Publikation und Alltagswerkzeug. Der Kalender ist hier weder „Merchandise“ noch bloße grafische Fiktion, sondern ein Rettungsanker für alle, die sich in der heutigen Welt verwirrt fühlen. . In der Wiederholung entsteht eine besondere Art von Realität, in der das Absurde als Botschaft, Hinweis oder privates Orakel gelesen werden kann.
Kilan spielt mit der historischen „Vorstellungsfabrik“, bricht eingefahrene Muster auf, um neuen Mustern Raum zu geben. Die Absurdität nimmt Gestalt an, und die Landschaft des Erzgebirges oder die historischen Zusammenhänge und Spuren von Karl Maynehmen fantastische Monstrosität an. . Kilan betritt damit einen Raum, in dem sich Realität und Fiktion traditionell und beharrlich vermischen: Die Landschaft der Sudeten im Erzgebirge erscheint hier nicht nur als Ort, sondern als Erzählung, die jedes Jahr neu und anders nacherzählt wird.

Kilan s.r.u. is an collective of multimedia authors‘ based at the Photography Studio of the Faculty of Arts and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. The artists work with photography, performance and text, combining them into desk calendars – a medium that borders on being an image, a publication and an everyday instrument. The calendar is not just „merchandise“ or graphic fiction, but a lifeline for anyone who feels confused in today’s world. Repetition creates a strange type of reality in which absurdity can be interpreted as a message, a clue or a personal oracle.
Kilan’s method thus plays with the historical ‚imagination factory‘, breaking down established patterns to allow new ones to emerge. Absurdity takes on its own form, and the landscape of the Ore Mountains, along with the historical context and traces of Karl May, take on a fantastical monstrosity. Kilan enters a space where reality and fiction traditionally intertwine: the landscape of the Sudetenland in the Ore Mountains are presented not only as a place, but also as an annual narrative that is retold in a different way each year.
